Terms & Conditions

By attending any events run by Quiet Community with Catherine, you agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Community values

  • Everyone attending classes/events/retreats must follow and support our values of kindness, integrity and inclusion.

  • Aggressive and/or confrontational behaviour towards staff or our guests, and any behaviour which contradicts our values, will not be tolerated and will result in you being asked to leave and any memberships you hold being cancelled.

Yoga classes

  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of your class to allow time for sign-in. Latecomers will not be admitted and will not receive a refund. This is to prevent any disruption to the class and for health & safety reasons as outlined in our insurance policy.

  • You must sign the Yoga Waiver before attending your first class.

  • If you have any injuries, please inform the teacher before the class begins.

  • Inside the studio: remove shoes; phones must be on silent and out of sight; no food (or chewing gum); use quiet voices before, during and after class to help us to maintain the peaceful atmosphere.

  • Rented mats and props should be wiped down with the sprays and cloths provided after use. A charge will be taken for any rented mats and props that are not returned.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Classes & events

  • All classes, events and workshops must be paid for in advance.

  • Unless otherwise specified, we provide all relevant equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

  • Please note that classes, events and workshops may fill up - guarantee a space by booking in advance via our booking system.

Cancellations and refund policy

  • Class/event bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance (email catherine@quietcommunity.co.uk to activate your refund). (Retreats are not included in this policy - for retreat cancellations, contact Catherine.) Anything after this is classes as late cancellation (see below).

  • We have a no-refunds policy for missed bookings (no-shows) and late cancellations. Our rationale for this: the missed spot could have been filled by another paying customer, and the room hire and the teacher still need to be paid. In order to qualify for a refund, you must cancel online and with the correct amount of notice (as above).

  • If you qualify for a refund, you will be refunded to the same payment method you paid with, i.e.: a refund to the card you paid with, or credit returned to your class pass.

Waitlist

  • We run a waitlist for oversubscribed classes and events. Automated notifications are sent to those on the waitlist if/when a space becomes available. This is done on a first-come first-served basis.

Membership

  • Membership credits can be used for any classes with Catherine across multiple venues.

  • Membership is a recurring monthly card payment which renews automatically, every month, and is taken on the same day each month.

  • There is no minimum term and you can cancel at any time via our booking platform.

Any questions? Get in touch: catherine@quietcommunity.co.uk.

MEDIA CONSENT

  • Please note that we occasionally capture photos or short videos to share on our website and social media. By registering for an event or club, you consent to the possibility of being filmed/photographed during the event.

  • If you’d prefer not to be included, just let us know on arrival.

  • We try our best to notify guests in advance if a class will be photographed/filmed - usually via the class description.

  • Worried about being on camera? We want footage of the real people who make up our community. Authenticity and inclusion are important to us - and we want our marketing to reflect that.
