Opening words

Between the new class venues, my first artisan market stall and teaching my first all-male yoga class (🙌), I’ve had a busy few weeks!

But - and I don’t mind being honest with you dear reader - the challenge of starting up again has not been an easy one. Class bookings are down, often failing to cover the cost of renting the venues. I’ve taken no salary since starting Catherine’s Place in June and it’s starting to bite. But asking for help doesn’t come naturally. Can you help? The smallest acts make a big difference - whether it’s sharing my classes with someone you know, booking onto a class or my first retreat, donating to my GoFundMe page, or leaving a review on my new Google business page. It all helps me keep teaching inclusive, judgement-free yoga classes, running creative clubs and retreats for neurodiverse and introverted people like me, and building this kind and wonderful community.

Join us in-person and online and feel part of something special…

Cosy Co-Working Returns

A few of the lovely conversations I had during last weekend’s Mindful Market in Leeds were about when and if Cosy Co-working would be coming back.

Would you like to join us for a day of co-working with a friendly community and a lunchtime yoga class? I’d love to bring these days back as an antidote to the loneliness of WFH and to provide opportunities for soft networking and ideas sharing for people who hate networking!

Let us know what you're looking for from a co-working community and you'll get priority access to booking!

(Venues and dates will be announced once we've got at least 20 responses, so please share the form with anyone who may like to be part of a friendly co-working community.)

Writing prompts

A creative writing prompt about impact ✍ I've been thinking about how we don't often see the results of our hard work until much later on, but we keep working for good anyway. Running a community for social good definitely feels like this. What could your main character be working towards? Will it have the lasting impact they are hoping for?

A journal prompt for reflecting on the little bits of good we can do - something so important to think about when feeling swallowed up by the dark times in this world.

With love…

The mission of Quiet Community is to…

create a sense of belonging in a world that often values extroversion over introversion. A feeling of safety and acceptance amongst others that encourages the sharing of thoughts and allows for creativity and wellbeing.

And I couldn’t do any of this without you - our community. As a thank you for your support so far here’s a special code for 30% off a yoga class, just for you - our valued newsletter readers: IREADTOTHEEND (expires: 1 May 26. Code can only be used once per person. Valid for an in-person or online class).

With love,

Catherine x
